Who We Are

The Clinicians at Virginia Institute of Neropsychiatry specialize in understanding and treatment of people with neuropsychiatric disorders which are disorders that occur in the area between neurology and psychiatry. Neuropsychiatry clinical services evaluation and treatment of:

 

  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Hypoxic brain injury
  • Movement disorders caused by psychiatric medication or metoclopramide (Reglan®)
  • Tardive dyskinesia
  • Parkinsonism
  • Akathisia
  • Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
  • Other neuropsychiatric disorders
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder
